WeCom acquisition flow: replacing long-press QR recognition with a tap
Where users dropped
The old H5 flow required users to long-press a QR code, then choose recognition from the system menu. Many older users were unfamiliar with this step and left before adding WeCom.
What I changed
I used a WeCom customer-service chat that the mini-program could open as a bridge. It automatically sent text and a card, both pointing to the same acquisition link, so a tap on either entry continued the add-contact flow.
Post-launch result
Impression-to-WeCom-contact conversion rose 50%+, and impression-to-address conversion rose 40%+. Downstream advertiser conversion held flat while CPM improved.
